Character's long-term goals in life: See above.
How does Character see himself/herself?To be perfectly honest, he loathes himself. It's not often he lets it on, but he has a very poor self image, believing himself to be a hideous monster. He particularly despises his lineage as a shape shifter, as it is the main reason he was never accepted as anything more than a freak in any place other than the circus, and even then that is more of a horrified curiosity from the eyes of spectators. Still... Even negative attention is attention, and he lusts after any form of social acceptance. In this sense, he has begrudgingly accepted his condition.
How does Character believe he/she is perceived by others? He would like to think he is a perfectly normal, average, acceptable member of society, but that little voice in the back of his head is constantly whispering, 'Freak!'
How self-confident is the character? He certainly puts on an air of being very confident in himself. He gets his self-confidence over proving himself stronger, better, or more superior than others. This is particularly vented towards the ones he has employed in his show.
Does the character seem ruled by emotion or logic or some combination thereof?A strange, twisted sort of logic, yes...
What would most embarrass this character? Not necessarily embarrass, so much as infuriate and horrify... Being openly called a freak and a monster to his face.
Emotional Characteristics
Strengths/Weaknesses:With his personality, he is quite capable of winning people over with a few choice words... It is often how he cons people out of their money, or in some cases, their freedom in exchange for working at his show.
As for weaknesses, as much as he'd hate to admit it, being a cat leads to several tendencies and indulgences he'd rather not admit to, including snoozing in warm spots and chasing after small, moving objects.
Introvert or Extrovert?Extrovert. He has a tendency of being flirtatious and promiscuous as well, though there is little genuine emotion behind it. At his core, he is actually rather sentimental, though he barely trusts anyone enough to show it.
How does the character deal with anger? Not well... His temper is quite explosive.
With sadness? Not very well, either... He will tend to bottle up the emotion and distance himself from the source, which will sometimes lead to bursts of rage (See above)
With conflict? He is actually rather cool, calm, and collected when it comes to conflict... He manages to remain composed, even if his wrath as an aftermath is viscous.
With change?Quite well, actually. Living a life on the move constantly means a great deal of change in scenery and social surroundings. He's become used to it.
With loss?See Sadness.
What does the character want out of life?He is decidedly hedonistic and weak to suppress his whims and desires. He doesn't have an overall goal to his existence, other than living in the moment, and making that moment as best as it can be for himself.
What would the character like to change in his/her life? He'd probably very much like not having to be the beast that he is.
What motivates this character? Wealth, and a desire for attention.
What frightens this character? Confronting himself, and his curse.
What makes this character happy? Earthly pleasures.

Is the character generous or stingy? He claims to be generous, and in a twisted way, he is. A lot of times, when he finds new 'employees', he promises them a safe haven, acceptance, and a paycheck. And he generally holds true to this, though their freedom is often the expense for this. He tends to find ways to keep people or creatures bound to him, even if it's just a form of brainwashing them with something along the lines of, 'You will never be accepted anywhere else but here.' He often gives them just enough privilege to keep any thoughts of foul play far from their minds.
Is the character generally polite or rude?He likes to think of himself as a gentleman, so yes, he is quite polite.
Spiritual Characteristics
Does the character believe in God?Money and pleasure are his gods.
What are the character's spiritual beliefs?See above.

Additional Notes on This Character:
Akida's personal history is honestly a sad one... The shape shifter trait is one that has run in his family for generations, however he was the first one to be born into his family in long enough of a while for it to have been forgotten about, or at least very carefully hidden and buried. His family, modestly prestigious upper-middle class and hailing from England, inhabited one of the British colonies in South Africa. They were looked up to enough that the birth of such an undesirable monster in the form of their youngest son disturbed them immensely, though there was much too much scrutiny on them for them to do much about it, beyond giving him the absolute bare necessities to stay alive. His entire family, from his parents, to his two older siblings, regarded him with disdain, and he quickly became the secret black sheep of the family. He was often abused and neglected, until the age of 5, when he was surrendered to an orphanage in Cape Town under the guise that their youngest son had contracted pneumonia and passed away. While he was out of their hair, Akida's situation really did not improve much... Due to the fierce hierarchy in the orphanage, as well as the superstition, none of the other children considered him more than a freak and an outcast. The fact he still had no real control over whether he changed forms or not did not help his case, particularly on full moons...
He stayed there for ten long years, over which his personal image of himself rapidly dwindled. There were multiple times he attempted to run away, all without success, until finally at age 15, there was a circus that was rolling through town nearby. The orphanage matron had consented to take the children to see it, during which Akida managed to slip away from the crowd. The idea of the circus dazzled and fascinated him... All of these odd folk that were seemingly adored and cheered for as they entertained. In the midst of all his wonder and curiosity, he was caught peeking into the show by the owner of the circus himself. After begging not to be brought back to the orphanage matron, and expressing an interest in the circus itself, he was begrudgingly taken in and placed in a job as part of the clean-up crew. So started what was actually some of the happier times in his life... The work was hard and messy, yes, but no one ever looked twice at him, or whispered snidely behind their hands over his appearance. It was among all the other freaks, that he actually found acceptance... He even managed to befriend a few of his fellow carnies, and learned some sleight of hand tricks.
About a year after he had joined the circus, at age 16, a young girl around his age named Leabie joined as an acrobat. As the circus could barely afford to leave the region of South Africa, she was a native... A true one, as opposed to being originally from Britain as he was. He was immediately drawn to her, with her confident personality and easy-going, tender attitude. She was exactly what he needed, and it wasn't long before they were sweethearts, often calling her 'Lea' or 'Lee' for short. For the first time in his unfortunate life, he was genuinely happy and in love. It sustained for several years, over which he gradually began to come out of his shell more and more...
At age 20, he discovered he was not the only one of his kind after hearing stories being passed around by the other performers one night after a show. Akida immediately latched onto the idea, proceeding to devour books on the subject with near obsessive fervor. Along the way, he learned of the numerous mythologies from around the world, and he was very quickly hooked. If other things like him existed, surely there must be a chance for all these other odd wonders... He wanted to seek them out, learn more about them, even possibly surround himself with them. All at once, he had the ambition to become a Ringmaster of his own show, and to pursue this new found ambition. Lea, on the other hand, was hesitant about this... It wasn't so much the idea of starting a new show (as difficult that in itself would be), so much as it was the growing obsession for the mythically strange and unusual that was growing in Akida. Sword swallowers and bearded women were one thing, monsters were another... The conflict put a sharp wedge between the two, and finally at age 22, she confronted him with the ultimatum of 'Me, or your foolish dreams'. Threatened by the classic signs of abandonment and distrust, Akida reverted to the self-survival tactics that had kept him alive growing up, and they split ways, with Akida striking out on his own to begin his own show. It was a veritable straw that broke the camel's back, and he never fully recovered from the betrayal. In fact, it honestly just made him worse, pushing him towards the edge enough where he began to seclude his emotions from others, not trusting them or himself enough to get too close. From this point on, it would be all about what would benefit him, no matter what...
Eventually he founded his own circus, placing himself as the Ringmaster, and dubbing it The Black Magic Show, with the intent of staffing it with only the oddest of the odd, the most mystifying of the mystical, and even the most horrifying beasts that haunt one's nightmares.
At age 27, around the same time as several of the previously thought imaginary races began to reveal themselves, Akida came across two young boys, identical twins... They were named Zii and Xii, and had been abandoned by their family in much a similar manner as he had been when he was young for being changelings. Perhaps due to this kindred history, he took them in, employing them as barkers and jesters to draw in and entertain crowds. It worked quite well, with their seemingly child-like innocence and endearing personalities. He has had them at his side ever since, and it's become a very co-dependent sort of relationship, with the twins doing anything he asks, while he provides them with a home.
To this day, and onward, he continues to tour with his show, not just around South Africa, but even going as far as to explore other parts of the world as well. All along the way, he learns of and seeks out the strange stories of ghouls, ghosts, and other such odd happenings with the intent of investigating them, and, if he is lucky, coming across a new addition to his lineup.
